Your teeth need to last you until your final days, so looking after them is important. All young people 18 and under receive free dental health care. It doesn’t matter whether you are at high school, doing a course, working … or whatever - you are entitled to free dental care, and can get a free dental check-up every 12 months.
Oral Health Services at the Canterbury District Health Board has all the information you need including how to enrol in the scheme and details of how the scheme works.
For more information about the free dental services for teens see the Ministry of Health website Let’s talk teeth or call the toll free number 0800-TALK TEETH 0800-825 583.
